This blog uses various abbreviations in its instructions. Find them summarised here by type of craft.
Knitting
K1 - Knit one stitch
P1 - Purl one stitch
M1 - Make one stitch. The nature of the increase should be specified.
*K1, P1* - Repeat enclosed stitches as many times as specified, or until there are too few stitches remaining to complete the pattern.
sl1 - Slip a stitch, purlwise if not otherwise indicated
psso - Pull the slipped stitch over the next one (as if binding off to decrease).
cn - Cable Needle
K2tog - Knit two stitches together.
P2tog - Purl two stitches together
yo - Make a new stitch by looping the yarn over the right needle
